چکیده
QLN QLN Domain A Mobile station A QGS Radio access network Radio access network Local IP network DiffServ itself lacks a simple and scalable bandwidth resource management scheme for a dynamic environment as an IP-based RAN. It is, therefore, necessary to extend DiffServ model for admission control and on-demand resource reservation under IP mobility environments.

A QoS/Mobility-Aware Model for Mobile Internet
This paper proposes a QoS micro-mobility solution capable of providing QoS support for global mobility. The solution comprises enhancements with regards to the mobility management of Mobile IPv6 (MIPv6) and in the resource management of the Differentiated Services (DiffServ) QoS model. The mobility management of MIPv6 was extended with fast and local handovers in order to improve its efficiency...
متن کاملWireless IP QoS ∗
This paper presents an overview of the Wireless IP QoS. Covering wireless communications paradigms, Internet QoS including QoS provisioning at different layers, IntServ and DiffServ frameworks, as well as MultiProtocol Label Switching, Resource ReSerVation Protocol, QoS Unicast and Multicast routing. We identify some important issues for Wireless IP QoS including mobility at both macro and micr...
متن کاملA QoS-Enable Solution for Mobile Environments
This paper addresses the problem of designing a suitable Quality of Service (QoS) solution for mobile environments. The proposed solution deploys a dynamic QoS provisioning scheme able to deal with service protection during node mobility within a local domain, presenting extensions to deal with global mobility. The dynamic QoS provisioning encompasses a QoS architecture that uses explicit and i...
متن کاملAn Intelligent Agent Based QoS Provisioning and Network Management System
The DiffServ architecture provides a scalable mechanism for QoS introduction in a TCP/IP network. DiffServ model is based on the aggregation of traffic flows at an ingress (or egress) point of a network and the IP packet marking for different priority flows, according to several classification criteria. Two approaches exist in the DiffServ architecture: the Absolute and the Relative. In Absolut...
